Sound Massage
Sound massage is a deep relaxation method that works at all levels of the mind, body and soul. Part of a tradition of knowledge applied in Indian therapeutics for more than 5000 years, it is said that the history of the singing bowl goes back to ancient Mesopotamia. In the modern era, since the early eighties, the German engineering graduate (FH) in Physical Technology Peter Hess has done research and experiments on the impact of bowls and traditional music on the human mind and body.
Sound Transforms The Body
During daily life, our regular brain frequency is in Beta. Sounds gently draw the brain into first the Alfa, then Theta and finally Delta states where deep relaxation and meditation occur. In this deeply meditative state, production of the body’s stress hormone cortisol declines while our levels of dopamine, endorphins, oxytocin and serotonin–collectively known as ‘the happiness hormones’–increase.

Individual Sessions
Treatments are typically one hour. They includes a pre-treatment consultation where the practitioner explores the needs of the client so as to plan the treatment appropriately. Following the procedure, a debrief is delivered and the client’s feedback on their experience is welcomed. Bowls with specific frequencies are placed on the specific parts of the clothed client’s body such as the chest, solar plexus, hands, feet, etc. Individual sessions can be done both indoors or outdoors without any decrease in efficiency.
Group Sessions
Sound baths are a relaxed activity, one where we invite you to take a journey like no other. While you lay back and get comfy, four facilitators play a range of instruments, guiding you through an immersive sonic experience. Held by the vibrations, safe and secure, this is a time for deep listening. For each person, the experience is unique. The effects may be deeply profound, stimulating, relaxing, meditative or otherwise intense.

Peter Hess Institut
In 1984, the former physical technology engineer, Peter Hess, began to develop what today is referred to as the Peter Hess Sound Massage and Sound Methods. In his search for alternative healing methods he traveled on more than one occasion to India, Nepal, and Tibet. It was during these trips when he was first introduced to healing with sound.
